1200 GHz Receiver

Omnisys has been awarded a development contract from ESA to evolve its terahertz receiver technology for future science missions, e.g. the ESA JUICE mission. Together with Chalmers University of Technology, LERMA in Paris and ACST in Darmstadt, Omnisys will lead the development of a complete 1080-1280 GHz receiver channel which will be passively cooled to 140 K. The system will be designed around a highly integrated 1200 GHz multichip front-end receiver module consisting of a GaAs Schottky membrane mixer, a cryogenic InP HEMT MMIC IF LNA, a 600 GHz GaAs Schottky membrane frequency doubler, and an integrated ultragaussian horn antenna.
